Enabling NFC on your Android

  • NFC stands for Near Field Communication. Think of Apple Pay or Tap-to-Pay with any of your credit cards. That’s all made possible because of NFC technology!

    Each Sharewear product is embedded with an NFC chip, just like your credit cards. They’re designed to link up to our proprietary software—your Sharewear Profile!

    After you set up your profile, the simple tap (or scan of the QR code if applicable) will pull up your page. No app or downloads needed!

    It’s safe and secure, hence the reason it can be used for payments. Unlike QR codes that can be scanned from far distances, NFC generally requires a distance of approximately 4cm.

  • Simply tap your product with your smartphone to begin setup!

    iPhone: NFC is located at the top, to the right of the camera.

    Android: NFC can be located at the top, middle, or bottom. You will need to know where this feature is on your individual device.

    If nothing populates, you may have NFC disabled on your device and this can be turned on in your settings. In the meantime, you can use your camera to scan the QR code on your product if it has one.

  • If you’re trying to sign in via e-mail and the black SIGN IN button is sending you through a cycle, prohibiting you from registering the product, do the following:

    1. Ensure you are NOT in Private Browsing. You must be on a standard browser to register the product and remain logged in.

    2. Begin sign in process again and request new e-mail

    3. Go to the NEWEST Sharewear e-mail that was sent and

      1. Click the Sign In button again and choose Default Browser when it populates

      2. OR Copy and paste the URL below the sign in link into a new window. Again, you must NOT be in Private Browsing for this to work.

  • If you have an Android phone, ensure the NFC is enabled by going into your Settings—Connected Devices—NFC. We’ve included a photo of it on this page!

    NFC can take up to 3 seconds for a connection to be made. Ensure you’re leaving your phone on the product for several seconds.

  • No….and yes. When you purchase products from us, each item comes equipped with its own unique profile. For example, if you wanted a ring and a card, you would be creating two separate profiles—even if you wanted to use the same information.

    Then why did we say yes? We have the ability to create products on our end that all link to the same profile—large companies, schools, animal shelters, restaurants, high volume orders, etc. This way, only one product would have to be set up and created and all other products would automatically update with the same information.   • Nope and nope! Do you have to charge your credit cards or change the batteries when you want to use them for tap-to-pay? Nope! These are the same concept. NFC chips do not need to be charged and no batteries are needed. It doesn’t get better than this!

  • No! There are no subscriptions to fully use our Sharewear profile features.

    No catch. It’s just that easy!

  • Sharewear requires users to be at least 13 to use this platform independently. As a parent or guardian, you are consenting to any information you put onto the platform as being okay if the child is under the age of 13. Please remember, if you choose to make a child safety bracelet, the intended use of the profile is to contain your contact information in the event of an emergency.

  • NO! None of our products are equipped with tracking capabilities and we did this on purpose. Tracking a moving target (i.e. pet or child on the run) is unreliable with many of the products currently on the market. Also, these devices do nothing to help someone reunite your child or pet if they find them before you do.

    Our products take on the belief that most of humanity is full of good people that would be willing to jump in and help out if afforded the opportunity!

  • All products, with the exception of our NFC Simple Sticker Pack, are waterproof and made to withstand the elements!

    Fun Fact: Our owners’ kids are full time USA Swimming swimmers and have worn their bracelets for too many swim practices to count and guess what? They’re still scanning!

  • Yes! You must provide proof of a resell license and order a minimum of 50 products (same item) to qualify for these large discounts. Contact us at hello@sharewearshop.com for inquiries!

  • Go to Sharewearprofile.com and login with your credentials. You can edit and make changes from any phone or computer.

  • Yes! There’s a longer lead time on these, but we can absolutely make this happen for a large volume order. Please inquire at hello@sharewearshop.com

  • They do! It’s a perfect size to use on animals big and small.

  • We ship most items same or next day! Custom items will ship within 3-4 days. Large volume orders will vary depending on the size and complexity, but we will let you know every step of the way!
